It was a fun day for your League of Cities. The annual showcase is an opportunity to let our Associate members shine, and thank them for the support they give the League year-round. We were in the Hilton ballroom, and filled every corner. Our Associates and government partners had a lot of information to share, as well as pens, bags, candy, etc. Thanks to all who participated and attended.

Our lunch keynote speaker, Deborah Martohue, shared her first-hand knowledge of proposed Amendment 4, from her tenure on the St. Pete Beach council. The afternoon workshop, "A Sustainable Community," was presented by Palm Beach State College and featured panelists Ken Hirsh, AIA, LEED, AP; Enrique Bekerman, ASQ, CSSBB, CMQ/OE; Myriam Ochart, ASQ, CSSBB, ASQ Deputy Region Director; and Rudy J. Magasrevy, CSSBB, PE. The topics of discussion included energy, transportation, and the future of our communities.
