Village of Wellington Mayor Pro Tem Dr. Carmine Priore is the recipient of the 2010 E. Harris Drew Municipal Official Lifetime Achievement Award. It was presented at the annual Florida League of Cities Conference in Hollywood.

The 2010 William A. Cruickshank Scholarship Golf Tournament will take place at the Atlantis Golf Club on Friday, October 8. The program provides scholarships to students pursuing studies in public service.

We had our biggest turnout ever at the Mary V. MacDonald-Wilson Center at Gaines Park in West Palm Beach. State legislative candidates were invited to learn about issues affecting our municipalities.
Palm Springs welcomed the League of Cities as it hosted our monthly meetings and annual workshop. Thanks to everyone at Village Hall!
With over 300 attendees, the Palm Beach County League of Cities filled the West Palm Beach Marriott's ballroom on May 28. Florida League of Cities President and Tallahassee Mayor John Marks gave the keynote address and installed our 2010-2011 Board of Directors.

The City of Pahokee partnered with Southern Waste Systems, PNC Bank, and Lake Worth Drainage District to host us at the Lake Okeechobee Outpost. It was a beautiful day on the lake. Great turnout, great food, great view, and a great day to award some scholarships!
